Quickening Rites

The quickening rites of the male child mark the rites of passage into becoming a young man. The seed of life matures at this time and is a gift of the gods. For this seed is the giver of life. To be respected. Here the child is blessed giving protection and ensuring fertility. The wisdoms are given and the lesson of respect taught.

In a sacred gathering of the male child and the male elders, the rites are given. Ensuring the sacred gift that he holds is understood and honoured. As the child now steps into the youth aspect of the growing man he matures with the blessings of the ancients upon him and the guidance of the wisom of the elders..
