The word Hopi comes from the traditions of the Hopi Indians who for centuries have used a hollow tube of beeswax impregnated with herbs and oils to bring balance to the head and release the tensions that are carried there. The Hopi Indians are renowned for their spirituality and healing techniques carried down though the ages from their ancestors, and now are embraced into our world and healing techniques.
This gentle and calming technique is widely used nowadays on adults and children alike as it is so gentle and effective. It works on the ears, nose and throat and can help to alleviate blockages in them.
The Candle is in fact a hollow tube of cotton flax that is stiffened using bees wax, honey and oils (most commonly Chamomile, sage and St Johns wort).
Phiona works and uses candles that are made to a traditional Hopi recipe.
One end is rounded and is gently placed within the ear and the other end is lit. As it burns down it creates a warming heat to the ear area and warms through to the ear, nose and throat, it can help to soften wax build up and blockages. It never burns down near the ear and is removed and extinguished safely.
A healing massage to the head, face and scalp finishes off the healing and leaves you in a state of complete relaxation and allows the body to de~stress and to begin its rebalance.
